Both are on the organisation. Do not infer either from the country in an address line.
Zoho Books in New Zealand is the finance file a business can close, once the import matches the trial balance.
Zoho Books does not lodge payday filing. Payday filing is a payroll return, and this page sets up the finance file.
If the subscription shows a payroll tool, the proposal names that tool as its own piece of work. Arcus configures the Books file, the chart, and the import. Arcus does not lodge the return. The person who runs payroll uses the screen the subscription shows, and the finance lead still closes this file against the trial balance.
Zoho Books replaces Xero as a file migration: Xero exports each area, Zoho Books imports CSV, TSV or XLS, and you match the trial balance before go-live.
That is the whole shape of the move. Each area leaves Xero as its own export, and each area enters Zoho Books through the import for that module. Opening balances come from the trial balance on a date you pick. Statement history in the old system stays in the old system, because a spreadsheet of invoices is a different object from a reconciled bank line. A bank connection is confirmed inside your organisation before anyone relies on it. This page is the commercial brief for that work, and it stops short of a click-by-click procedure.
A Zoho Books implementation is the organisation, the chart, the import, and a handover the person who closes the file can follow.
Read the edition in the menus of your own organisation before anyone configures the file. The written scope follows the edition those menus show.
Confirmed on the screen Zoho shows you. We do not assign a region because the business is in New Zealand.
Accounts and items are named the way the business talks, and they exist before historical rows are imported. Imported invoices then land on a structure that was already there.
Balances are taken from the trial balance on the migration date, so the new file starts where the old one stopped. The date is chosen with the person who closes the file, and new entries wait in the old system until the totals match.
Contacts, items, and open transactions arrive as CSV, TSV or XLS. The trial balance is matched before anyone works live, so Zoho Books New Zealand starts from a checked position.
The finance lead sees which reports they will use. Later layout changes are Arcus support when that arrangement is in place. A fault in Zoho Books goes to Zoho.
A Zoho Books setup in New Zealand follows three moves: read the organisation, import in an order that can balance, and hand the reports to the person who closes the file.

Both are on the organisation. Do not infer either from the country in an address line.
02
Accounts and items first, then opening balances, then transactions. Match the trial balance before live work. A setup package can hold that sequence when the old file is already tidy enough for a fixed scope.
03
Show the reports they will open. The Zoho Books accountant in New Zealand uses that handover, on your team or in an external practice. Arcus configures the file, and the close stays with that person. A Zoho Books partner NZ, in ordinary language, is the firm that does that configuration, and you still buy the licence from Zoho.
The useful result is a file that person can close, plus the exports you kept from the system you left.
| Aspect | Before the file is ready | After the file is ready |
|---|---|---|
| The edition | Taken from the country in an address line. | Read on the organisation, from the menus you have. |
| The history | A spreadsheet dropped into an empty file. | Accounts first, then balances, then transactions. |
| The check | Totals that look roughly familiar. | The trial balance matches before live work starts. |
| What stays behind | Found later by the person who pays the bills. | Named up front. Statement history stays with the old system. |
Arcus is New Zealand-based, working with businesses worldwide. When Books is one app inside a short list, the Zoho One page is the next read. A customer the sales team works belongs in Zoho CRM , and a record neither CRM nor Books should own belongs in Zoho Creator . Choosing the ledger, or deciding the move is premature, is consulting . A live file that already fights its users is a health check . How Arcus prices the implementation sits on the pricing page, as a written proposal, separate from Zoho's subscription invoice. Zoho Flow can carry a won Zoho CRM deal into this file as a customer. Zoho Analytics reads the invoices the file already stores. Blueprint stays on the CRM stage, and it does not post the journal.
Read the edition on your own organisation before you configure the file. The menus on that organisation show the edition, and the written scope follows what they show. The country in an address line is a different fact from the edition on the screen. Arcus configures the organisation you actually have, once that screen has been read with you.
Yes, as a file migration. Xero exports each area, Zoho Books imports CSV, TSV or XLS, and you match the trial balance before go-live. Each area is its own export and its own import. Opening balances come from the trial balance on the date you pick, and new entries stay in the old file until those totals match. Statement history is kept with the old system. The move is finished when the finance lead can close the new file.
Statement history from the old system stays in the old system. Importing CSV, TSV or XLS brings the contacts, items, and transactions you placed in the file, which is a different object from a reconciled bank line. A bank connection is confirmed inside your own organisation before anyone treats it as part of the close. This page leaves any named bank, and any promise about feeds, off the brief until that screen has been checked.
The trial balance on the date you picked has to match, and the chart, the items, and the open transactions have to be in place underneath it. New entries wait in the old file until that match is done, so the two systems are describing one position. The person who closes the file is in that check. Live work starts after the match, with the reports they will actually open.
Arcus support covers configuration, process, and small changes, when that arrangement is in place. A fault in the Zoho product goes to Zoho. A further migration, or a new connection to a bank or a payment gateway, is a new scope. The handover is the reports the finance lead uses, and later layout changes sit in support when the proposal says they are included.
Yes. Pick a date, and hold new entries in the old file until the trial balance in Zoho Books matches the one you exported. That pause is what makes the opening position a fact rather than a rough likeness. Once the match is agreed, the team works in Zoho Books and keeps the old exports. The written scope names the date and the person who signs off the match.
